This page consolidates the family of Adam S. Porges of Prague (b. ca.
1822-1823, † 8 February 1892, age 69, gewesener Kaufmann) and his wife
Minna B. Porges, an extended late-imperial Bohemian-Jewish bourgeois sub-clan
with at least six adult children spread across Prague and the broader Bohemia of the
1890s-1910s. The branch is documented through the patriarch's 1892 faire-part and
through the 1901 announcement of his son Oswald, with multiple in-law connections to
the Reiniger, Bayer, Karpeles and Weiß families.

Note — A. S. Porges of Prague is a DIFFERENT person
An important disambiguation : the « A. S. Porges » whose
faire-part appeared on 8 July 1891 (age 73, Privatier, ⛔ Rebeka / Katharina née Leipen)
is a separate man, not Adam S. Porges of this page. The two share initials but lived
different lives. The 1891 A. S. Porges patriarch had children Moritz, Alfred, Mathilde Sgalitzer,
Ottilie Sgalitzer (all distinct from the Adam S. Porges children Sigmund, Hermine, Hugo, Emilie,
Oswald, Philippine).
